1. The Sovereign Principle

The Lone Stack is built on the philosophy of digital sovereignty. Unlike most of the web, we do not use invasive trackers, session replay scripts, or “pixel” spying tools to monitor your behavior. Our infrastructure is self-hosted on Linux/BSD, and we own our logs.

2. Data We Collect

Comments: When you leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Cookies: If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment.

3. Monetization & Affiliates (No Tracking)

We have made a conscious decision not to use Google AdSense or invasive third-party ad trackers. Your reading habits are your own business.

Instead, this website is supported by:

  • Affiliate Links: We occasionally link to specific tools, hardware, or services (e.g., VPS providers, trading software). We only promote products we personally use and have verified in our own stack. If you purchase through these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
  • Direct Support: We accept voluntary contributions via Ko-fi from readers who find value in our work.

We do not accept paid placements for products we do not believe in.

4. Embedded Content

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. YouTube videos, Tweets, TradingView charts). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.

5. Your Rights

If you have left comments on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
